Hayley Bassett

Resident Art Therapist

"Country is home and my home is Yuin. A place where I feel connected, safe and above everything, I belong. Come walk with me, listen, play and create with paint."

Meet Hayley – Our Dedicated Advocate & Art Therapy Facilitator

At The Panoramic Project, we are privileged to have Hayley, a proud Wiradjuri/Dharawal woman living on Yuin Country (Dolphin Point, NSW), working within our team on a voluntary basis. With a deep commitment to community and inclusion, Hayley brings a wealth of experience in education and disability advocacy, ensuring that every individual is supported, seen, and empowered. Hayley is registered with the Indigenous Art Code Australia providing 1 on 1 Narrative Art Therapy or group sessions.

Hayley began her career in 2005 as a Secondary Educator, specialising in Aboriginal Education and Diverse Learning. Her journey has taken her across NSW, working closely with schools and remote communities to strengthen partnerships between teachers, support staff, and families.

As a full-time Mother and carer of First Nations children living with complex disabilities, Hayley deeply understands the power of connection, creativity, and self-expression. She now brings this passion to The Panoramic Project, using her art therapy company Jaylee Art Studio as a powerful tool to engage and support our participants. Through creative expression, she fosters healing, confidence, and connection, ensuring that every individual—regardless of ability—has a space where they can flourish.

We are so grateful to have Hayley working with our team, leading with heart, advocacy, and creativity.
